RESOURCES
There are a lot of options for homeschooling in Santa Barbara. Depending on interests, goals and budget, you can customize your child's education. Homeschooling can be expensive, but there are many ways to find free to low cost resources. Charter schools can assist with funds or provide materials and curriculum. There is a big used book sale every June where you can find lots of great deals. Our library system is a fabulous resource for books and programs. And many resources can be found online, from instructional Youtube videos to free, teacher created worksheets and activities.

COMMUNITY CLASSES
Community Classes are individual or group classes offered by members of the community. They are not all under the supervision of a school or governing body. There are varying degrees of expertise and cost. Contact the teacher to find out more. Most of the classes listed here are well known and loved by homeschoolers, but please take the time to ask questions about times, costs, safety concerns and teaching methods to find the right fit for your family.

CURRICULUM
Here are just a few curriculum that are popular among homeschoolers. A great resource in town is the educational materials shop, Bennett's! You can look through their shelves and they are happy to order anything they don't have.
A popular online resource is the Homeschool Buyer's Co-op.
Also, once a year, there is a large used curriculum sale where you can find fabulous deals on many books & materials. PATH announces the sale, so make sure you contact them to find our more.
This list doesn't even come close to reporting what is available. Searching for reviews on curriculum can be a great way to start investigating. And don't overlook the myriad of free options! Teachers Pay Teachers is one site that has many free downloads.
